"Epic . . . an inquiry into the relationship of personal and public history." -- Public Art Review
The Dreaming is a five story tall, layered installation of glass weaving, painting, and etched stone created by William Cochran and integrated into a landmark 1923 hotel building at an ancient crossroads in Frederick, Maryland. The Dreaming involved hundreds of residents, numerous artists and and many organizations in its creation. It explores personal imagination and collective heritage.
