| Enter Early Work |
| An early work by William Cochran, Angels in the Architecture began in 1987 to help revive the then-declining historic downtown of Frederick, MD. The plan called for seven small trompe l'oeil murals integrated into the cityscape and linked thematically as a single artwork. The work explores the City of Frederick's heritage in non-linear and dreamlike ways. Three of the seven murals have been completed to date.
